We also employ state-of-the-art in process quality assurance methods, not just conventional final inspection. We use the Kanban System – a production process based on actual demand rather than assumed requirements. Production materials are replenished only when required – so we only make what is really necessary. The result: greater productivity, shorter lead times, less waste and an unwavering focus on quality. Kaizen, meaning 'continuous improvement', is practised at all our departments and across all our processes. We actively solicit suggestions from employees and have a wide range of quality controls. Our final inspections are also very stringent. Every single Laing pump is tested under real-life conditions, pumping water before leaving the factory. Why? Because we are committed to making products that will stand the test of time. Our pumps also bear internationally recognized safety marks, including UL, CE and Dentori.
