Laing replacement motors that are compatible with other manufacturer's pumps – Grundfos/Vortex and Wilo
Most circulating pumps are installed nowadays as replacement pumps. Many of them are equipped with a screw ring. This makes replacing fast and simple. The pump housing can stay installed in the pipe, while only the pump motor has to be changed. For this application, Laing offers special replacement pumps. These pumps come standard without pump housing, but have instead 2 different gaskets added. This ensures that a correct gasket for replacing a pump from another manufacturer like Grundfos/Vortex or Wilo is present when needed. These replacement pumps from Laing will save money and time, while providing your customer the benefit of a quick and stress free reparation.
The Laing replacement pump range includes all models of the domestic hot water pump series model Ultracirc S1. These are not only suitable to replace old Laing pumps, but fit also for Grundfos Comfort UP 15-14, UP20-14 and UP 15-13B, as well as for Vortex BW, BWZ (however not BW401 / BZW 401).
Replacing a pump is easy: after shutting-off the circulating line and disconnecting the power cord, the motor can be unscrewed from the pump housing by the screw ring. The new motor is screwed on to the old pump housing which stays in the line. For replacing pumps made by the manufacturer Grundfos or Vortex, please use the flat gasket added in the carton. For replacing a Laing pump, just use the O-ring seal.
All replacement pumps come standard with a pre-mounted power cord (1m), and are of the unique spherical motor design. The principle of the spherical motor, which was invented by Laing, is fundamentally different from conventional canned motor pumps. The only moving part in a spherical motor is a hemispherical rotor/impeller unit, which sits on an ultra-hard, wear-resistant ceramic ball. There are no conventional shaft bearings or seals. This rules out, in effect, the possibility of play in the bearings and the increase in noise associated with it. These pumps are particularly robust and give exceptionally long service. The self-realigning bearing is lubricated and cooled by the pumped media. Maintenance is not necessary under normal conditions and even after lengthy shutdown periods a reliable start-up is virtually guaranteed. The parts exposed to the fluid are completely corrosion resistant
Warm water despite boiler replacement
Heating malfunctions or boiler replacement – your customer is in need and expects quick and good service. You can realize a quick emergency heating with the Laing S.O.S. Mobile Heater. It comes with a standard plug completely ready for connection, including all necessary safety and connecting devices. At 230 Volt, this mobile electrical heater offers 3 kW heat output, or 13 kW at 400 Volt. It is mounted on a robust transport trolley, and therefore can be easily driven right to the central heating room.
For customer purposes, you should make yourself the competent contact person in time of need. You can offer heat in a very short period of time – while repairing or changing the damaged boiler. A connection set for storage tank water heater even enables you to offer warm water. This is a beneficial feature for customers with little children living in the household.
The mobile electrical heater provides you the opportunity to organize jobs during the height of the season: in autumn, when people typically start to run their heating installation, most service jobs appear. You gain flexibility by quickly installing an electrical mobile heater, while waiting for replacement parts or completing other jobs. An S.O.S. mobile heater in the central heating boiler room is not regarded as a disturbance by the customer. They will appreciate your quick help. This will gain you additional jobs and referrals.
